- Short introduction to search documentation - Methodological modules: the bases of quantitative and qualitative approaches in education - How to write your master dissertation? - Presentation of examples of master dissertations
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
The seminar aims at teaching students knowledge and methods useful for their master dissertation.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Students have to attend the seminars about master dissertation.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
- Thematic seminars are organized about the following topics: search of documentation, use of Excel sheets, setting up research hypotheses.
- Students have to complete individual homework for the next seminar.
- Individual meetings are scheduled depending on each student specific needs.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Assessment : students have to submit their TIR following the given instructions.
The possibility to submit the TIR in June depends on the following requirements:
- attendance to the seminars;
- having submitted in due time the intermediary forms (form Department and form Faculty);
- having successfully completed an assessment after the seminars (he aim of this assessment is to ensure that students have a good understanding of the concept taught in the various seminars, before submitting their individual TIR.
If one of these three criteria is not met, students will have to submit their TIR in August.
