Learning unit contents :
The first part of the research seminar aims to help students acquire the methodological tools, essentials to construct a research process in all of its aspects. 
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
At the end of the Partim I, the student has to be able to indentify the different steps of a research process, to ask an adequate research question, to consult the literature, to problematize a research object, to choose an appropriate methodological approach and to conduct an exploratory research.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The first Partim will focus on the research process, the service relationship, the observation and the interview methods. 
Theoretical and practical presentations will illustrate the points above. 
At the end of each session, students will be invited to make a practical exercise. 
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Sessions in class and exercises outside the class. 
The calendar and the instructions linked to the exercises are available on the e-Campus platform. This is also the main communication tool used to contact the teachers. Besides, the intermediary exercises must be uploaded on this platform.

Assessment methods and criteria :
The evaluation will ecompass the intermediary reports handed in during the semester and an oral examination. 
  • Intermediary exercises = 50% of the grade 
  • Oral examination = 50% of the grade 
 
In second session, the evaluation will consist in an oral examination.

The seminar is organized on Thuesdays from 4 to 7pm during the first semester.
