Higher Education Pedagogy is a pretty young field of research and action. Several associations try to impulse reflection and experience sharing between actors in this field. In Belgium, one of these associations is AIPU (Association Internationale de Pédagogie Universitaire), organizing experience sharing between teachers.
In order to open the students to those reflections and actions in higher education pedagogy, they will contribute to several actions of this association.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
This course will mainly target the development of the second competence of the competence grid for the ULG Master in educational sciences, competence dealing with the design, running and evaluation of training programs. Il will more specifically work on the mastery of the 2.3 and 2.4 learning outcome from that competence grid :
2.3 Design, plan and regulate individual or collective education / training activities, adapted to the needs and caracteristics of the target publics, in a societal context taking into account diversity.
2.4. Build environments favouring learning, in formal as well as informal settings.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
The PEDA4051-A course (partim 1 of this course) is a prerequisite.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
In small groups (depending on the number enrolled), the students will :
- organize an AIPU "10>20>TRENTE" seminar (see the AIPU.be website). They will prepare the subject, then accompany the presenting teachers in their preparation, animate the 30 minutes of transfer activities and participate in the communication tasks around this seminar (web transmission and online announcements) ;
- accompany the teachers in formalizing a weblog article sharing their experience.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Seminars and field activities.
Recommended or required readings :
The aipu.be website will be used, as well as a space on the institutional platform. Optional readings will be presented at the beginning of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria :
Participation in the training activities (accompanying the teachers and animating the 10>20>TRENTE) is mandatory in order to access evaluation for this course.
Through a written report (comprising important annexes tracking on-line documents and interactions) and thanks to the activities they've been involved in, the students will be asked to demonstrate their development of the C2 competence of the ULG competence grid for that Master,  and mainly their design, running and evaluation of training programs.
A specific training activity will help them build up that report.

Organizational remarks :
The face-to-face activities will take place in the T1 building, Quai Timmermans, 14 (Sclessin).
