Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
| The course aimes to provide general skills et criticism ability (evidence-based science and questionning on general allegations) when regards to the role and contribution of animal production in tropical countries at the level of food security to a large extent, both in urban and rural areas.
Will be highlighted links between feed and food (conventionnal and unconventionnal), breeding (conventionnal and unconventionnal), animal production, and the 5 transversal paths of the Master (food security, drug resistance, zoonosis, ecosystems and health, and geographic health concerns). More specifics objectives are: - Provide the sudents with pertinent informations on some keys nutrients for health. - Give tools (evidence-based) to evaluate allegations linked to nutrition and feeding - Identify alternative ways to drugs in food chain. - Elaborate SWOT analysis associated to new-breedings - Define strategies allowing to increase or optimise animal protein availability for the South. |
