Presentation
The long term consequences of tracheal intubation in children are under-estimated and contribute significantly to long term morbidity. The proposed course aims to prepare doctors who are likely to have to practice tracheal intubation in new born babies or in children, to do so effectively and atraumatically. The course combines the presentation of theoretical information with practical exercises on n endoscopically-controlled model.
Special conditions of access / students concerned
This course is aimed at doctors who have specialised or who are specialising in paediatrics, neonatology, anaesthetics, reanimation and emergency medicine.
Interested individuals should contact the head of the course to discuss their application.

Duration of the training
- 15 hours of theory classes: lectures
- 15 hours of practical work: learning how to perform tracheal intubation on a child using an endoscopically controlled model.
- Total for the course: 10 credits.
