Course contents :  
- Analysis and translation of literary excerpts and texts on Social Sciences; - Comparative analysis of original documents and their translation to French; - Introduction to subtitling; - Introduction to the translation of advertisements (adaptation-localization).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of the course, the students will be able to :
- use the necessary strategies that were discussed and tested throughtout the year; - define their methodological approach to cultural translation; - justify their choices and comment on translation difficulties.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Reading/translation packs on specific subjects.
The students proceed to the translations at home and carry out complementary resarch.
The teaching activities are complementary to the expected learning outcomes.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
One hour and a half per week course given at ULg (except during the 3-month training period).
Recommended or required readings :  
Course pack made of various source texts and readings.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
1. Continuous assessment : 20%. 2. Final examen in June : 80%.
