Course contents :  
The book dedicates one chapter for each of the following learning/teaching cases : 1. Observation/Modelisation 2. Reception/Transmission 3. Practice/Coaching 4. Exploration/Documentation 5. Experimentation/Reactivity 6. Creation/Confortation 7. Metacognition-Co-reflexion 8. Debate/Animation They are linked to learning theories supported by associationism, constructivism, cognitivism, instumentalism.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
You have to  : - analyse learning activities with the learning/teaching events. - make links between the learning/teaching cases and theories of learning.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The MFTA course is essentially a course following the paradigm reception / transmission. However during sessions and outside, different activities will be carried out by students : - Training to Examinations - Problem-solving activities - Drafting and analysis of case - Participation in surveys - Interactions during the course
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course takes place mainly during face to face session. However, students will be asked to carry out distance activities.
Recommended or required readings :  
Book : Leclercq (2010) "Méthodes de Formation et Théories de l'Apprentissage" (MFTA), Editions de l'ULg. Course's Slideshows are posted on eCampus as the education matter covered in the course.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
- Activities carried out during the year : the creation of case and analysis of these depending on the matter. - Written exam with Degrees of Certainty in two phases :
  • (1) Without books.
  • (2) Open Books : by MCQs and General Implicit Solutions (GIS) : None, All, Lack of Data, Absurdity (Non sense) in the first part of the question.
    The Degrees of Certainty (DC) permit the students to obtain additional Metacognitive Bonus points provided their score in Confidence and Prudence reach minimal levels fixed for each of them and that a minimal number of answers is given by the student with a Degree of Certainty .
