Course contents :  This course brings you to conceive a few plausible regulations of your own course, to carry them out and to investigate their effects on your students' learning. To do so, you will have to collect subjective and objective data in your class and to refer to the relevant pedagogical literature.
Course objective :  Formasup is centered on the professionalization of teachers in relation to three key actions. Although the three target competences are addressed throughout, this course deals more specifically with the third one (i.e. the competence "regulate" a course).
The Formasup competences are:
- Design a course which is coherent and meaningful and which facilitates students' learning;
- Teach 1) in a way that fosters students' motivation, activity and engagement 2) in order to be able to inform each student about his/her progress 3) in order to facilitate learning in depth and lifelong learning;
- Regulate a course by analysing subjective and objective data collected in the classroom
Organization :  · In case some participants wish to split the programme in two years, this course should be attended in year two.
· The Formasup online course enables participants to download resources, to post messages in discussion forums and to organize their own learning. Participants need an Internet connection to access the course.
· Virtual classes take place every two weeks during the whole academic year. This timetable applies to this course as well as to the course PESU0016-6. Participants are requested to work regularly and to write their assignments according to the given instructions and deadlines.
Written notes :  On line Recommended reading :
Wehlburg, C. (2006). Meaningful Course Revision. Ehhancing Academic Engagement using student learning data. Bolton: Anker Publishing Company.
Assessment :  According to the given instructions, participants are requested to present and to discuss the subjective and objective data they collected in order to investigate the effects of the implemented course regulations on their students' learning.
This course amounts to 20% of the end-of-programme grade. A minimum grade of 10 on 20 is required to pass the course.
