| Course contents : | The course of General Physics I covers different fields : mechanics, thermodynamics, fluids. It is followed (during the second year) by a second course (General Physics II) including : electricity and magnetism, waves, optics, atomic physics, nuclear physics. | ||||||||

| Course objective : | The goal of the course is to learn some new fundamental concepts, related to different Physics fields, and that are relevant for students in Biology and Geography. | ||||||||

| Prerequisites : | Background : basic knowledge in physics and mathematics (high school level). | ||||||||
| |||||||||
| Workshops : | Laboratory related to different parts of the course are organised (schedule communicated at the beginning of the academic year). | ||||||||

| Organization : | The course is organised as follows : First semester : Monday 10:30 - 12:30 Second semester : Monday 10:30 - 12:30 The schedule for the laboratories and exercices will be communicated at the beginning of the academic year. | ||||||||

| Assessment : | A partial test is organized in January. The students who succeed (10/20 or more) can keep this mark in June for the related part of the final exam. The final exam in June is made of 3 parts : - oral exam : theory - writing exam : exercices - practical exam : laboratories | ||||||||
