Course contents : Main chapters are ;
- Caracteristics and qualities of an evaluation design.
- Taxonomies of domains to be evaluated.
- Evaluation by judges : effects of scoring (critical docimology).
- Assessment of Partial Knowledge.
- Multiple Choice Questions.
- Item analysis and questions quality.
Course objective : (1) Specific : Mastery of concepts (and capacity to apply them) about

  • Evaluation characteristics; relation between objectives and evaluation methods;
  • Quality procedures before and after testing (rules to write questions; item analysis).

(2) Transversal : Having experienced an ODL (Open Distance Learning) course, from the learner side.
Workshops : ODL activities with the WebCT platform.
Written notes : Syllabus : D. Leclercq (2005). Edumétrie et docimologie, reproduced by Les Editions de l'Université de Liège, provided each student orders one copy via D. Leclercq.
Assessment : Score 1 : ODL activities.
Score 2 : Open book exam.
