| 1. Relationship beween language and thought; between literal meaning and meaning in context. 2. Ambiguity and vagueness. 3. Analytical implication and presupposition. 4. Lexical semantics: different types of lexical units, semantic valence, semantic features, prototypes. 5. Introduction to sentence semantics (in particular in relation with syntax) and to formal semantics. | |
