Course contents : It is essential to acquire a good knowledge of the basics, good reflexes rather than stocking up detailed theoretical knowledge which risk aging very fast. yhe course is divided into several parts :
The 1st part is devoted to a general introduction : law, the Belgian State, th EU, the organisation of the litigation, a few basic legal principles will be focused on, intheir relation with town-planning on environnemental regulations will also be studied : polluter-player and the precaution principle.

The 2nd part is devoted to town and country planning, the analysis of the walloon town and country and patrimony planning code, the planning permissions, sale by lots permission, sanctions, operationnal town planning, protection of monuments and sites.

The 3rd part is devoted to the new decree on the environnemental permit, which is going to be adopted shortly by the walloon region.

The 4th part focuses on incidence studies on the environment, on the problem of waste and nature protection.
Course objective : To provide future company managers with the necessary legal background in this subject.
To define the specificities of town-planning law and Environemental law.
To provide students with the keys and basic information allowing them to adapt to this abundant subject in constant mutation.
Prerequisites : DT 301 Introduction to private law and law of contract
ECO 430 Introduction to public economy
Organization : Mainly oral presentation. this year, it will not be possible to circulate a textbook covering all the course. A detailed outline will be given to the students. it will contain a bibliography. As often as possible, the poresentation will rely on practical ases and real-life examples.

Ex-cathedra course illustrated with practical cases. Guest experts (M. Defer, secretary general, M. Parisse public auditor with the Arbitrage Court and Associate, professor in HEC) will take care of the first part. Part 2 is covered in syllabus.
