Job opportunities

The IT sector is and will remain a sizeable source of employment. IT companies (software development, sale of comprehensive custom systems, service and consultancy, etc.) are employing increasing numbers of university-trained computer scientists, and companies operating in most sectors of the economy (industrial production, the banking and insurance sector, volume retailing, telecommunications, transport, etc.) are less and less able to operate without IT experts.

There are also a large number of opportunities in research, public administration and teaching.

The work of a computer science engineer is varied and pertains to sizeable sectors of economic activity, notably including all of the information communication technologies (ICT): IT services in the broad sense, data processing and security, telecommunications and networks, multimedia and medical applications, embedded computing and robotics.

Innovative products coming from the IT sector enable the graduate to envisage working in research and development, monitoring, consultancy, expert appraisal, project, team and company management.

Computer science students often find jobs before they have even completed their studies. The missions of the Master's in Computer Science are varied and concern important sectors of economic activity, including all information and communication technologies : computer services in the broad sense, data processing and security, telecommunications and networks, multimedia and medical applications, embedded computing and robotics, etc. The Master's in Computer Science is a unique opportunity for students to gain experience in a wide range of fields. The innovative products stemming from computer science enable the graduate to consider an activity of research and development, control, consultancy, expertise, project, team and company management.
