Chinese characters 200 
Basic grammar (word order, common sentence patterns, general questions, and negative sentences)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The goal at the end of the course: to reach level A1 or A2

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

General overview of Chinese language and Chinese culture.
Chinese pronunciation system: Pinyin (the phonetic transcription of Chinese).
Chinese character structure + about 50 words. (Vocabulary)
Communication in a simple way.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

- in-class: explanation of grammar, presentation of pronunciation, vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension exercises, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary exercises.
- preparations and drills to be done at home every week.

Additional information:

Face-to-face with priority. In view of the health crisis, part of the course (or all of it) may be carried out remotely. The students will be informed according to the evolution of the situation.
