Study of the vocabulary and the main chapters of Dutch grammar through reading, writing, speaking and listening activities.

Topics: news and history of Belgium, Flanders and the Netherlands.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

This advanced level is part of the continuation of the bachelor's degree program. The final objective is written and oral practice of everyday Dutch.
This part focuses on listening comprehension and speaking.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

A basic knowledge of oral and written Dutch is required (see description 1st year + 2nd year).

Written and oral examination in January.
The written examination includes a writing exercise as well as a note-taking exercise. In addition, the student will be tested on the 1st part of the basic vocabulary and structures (nouns and adjectives) The oral exam will consist of a discussion on one of the topics covered in the course.

Course participation is compulsory. Attendance will be recorded. An immediate update is essential in case of absence.
