Part 1: Development projects management

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the challenges and prospects for a "good practice" of project management in the context of developing countries.
  • Master the different phases of a design and project management approach as well as their articulation
  • Apply a systematic project design approach according to the "logical framework" method in a given context
  • Produce a project proposal structured according to the "logical framework" method
  • Identify the place of communication in a perspective of project viability
  • Identify the key moments of communication in the cycle of a project, its challenges, its specificities

Part 2: Communication

At the end of the course students should be able to:

  • master the basic concepts of communication and their impact on environmental communication processes
  • identify communication issues in different contexts
  • demonstrate an understanding of the ethical values at the heart of environmental communication relating to sustainable development
  • apply appropriate communication methods and tools to different situations and audiences
  • plan an environmental communication approach
  • evaluate strategies, programs and communication media relating to sustainable development

Part 1: Development projects management

  • Presentations
  • Work in groups of 4 students, aiming to design a project by highlighting the key moments of communication and planning it clearly. "Accompanied" work during lessons with presentation and discussion of the different stages in the progress of the work and by email exchanges with the teacher
  • Class attendance is therefore essential.

Part 2: Communication

  • ex cathedra course with power point support
  • group work (compulsory): groups of 4 students (preferably to be modified for each work); the work will be initiated during the courses and supervised via email exchanges; the work will focus on the design of a communication approach in a specific context (communication plan). The work will be the subject of oral presentation
  • Class attendance is therefore essential.
