- Strains and expression systems
- The bioreactors and associated sensors (direct and indirect)
- Growth dynamic of cellular population
- Type of culture : batch, fed-batch, continuous
- Down-stream process
- Drying techniques
- Case report : Optimization of the biomass growth and of the metabolites production
 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Allow the student to understand the growth curves of microorganisms and metabolite production at industrial level and from an economical perspective

The different theoretical concepts are developed during the lectures. These concepts are put into practice during supervised personal work. These can be done remotely or face-to-face according to the wishes of the students.
