Schedule

Schedule online

Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The students, in a multidisciplinary group, will be led to reflect on different cross-cutting themes as a teacher of their own discipline in a class and as a social actor in an establishment.

The cross-cutting themes addressed during the seminar, such as EVRAS in particular, will be part of the school's missions.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Analyze own teaching posture, attitudes and the way to relate to students to foster egalitarian relationships and the development of psychosocial skills.
  • Identify the disciplinary contributions that shed light on a cross-cutting issue.
  • Conceptualize a collective system that could be implemented in a school to respond to a cross-cutting issue by mobilizing both disciplinary and general training contributions.
  • Promote the opening of a disciplinary identity and links to other disciplines.
  • Practice a certain number of collective skills (dialogue, reconcile points of view, plan teamwork, etc.).

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

None.

However, it is recommended that SAI be taken in the same year as a disciplinary didactics course (and associated stage). In the case of fractionment, we recommend to take SAI in the second year of the fractioned cursus.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Sessions devoted to theoretical contributions will alternate with group work sessions.

Attendance at all sessions is compulsory.
The course is organized in the form of team work, which requires continuous attendance.

Except in cases of force majeure as assessed by the SAI managers
- Two unjustified absences will result in a mark of ABSENCE for the seminar.
- Absence (even justified) from more than half the sessions will result in a mark of ABSENCE (or EXCUSE) for this seminar.
- The seminar is not organized as a second session. Only students who have taken part in the seminar, but have not handed in all their work, will have access to the second session.
