Learning unit contents
This course offers a practical exploration of digital fabrication techniques, specifically in the field of 3D. Students will have the opportunity to work on concrete projects, proposed by the instructors, aimed at solving real-world issues in pedagogy (3D representation of jaws, bones, parts) and scientific research (assembly of devices). The projects will be carried out in teams of three, allowing students to apply their skills in collaboration and project management. The course content will cover:
- 3D data capture techniques,
- 3D modeling using various software (SolidWorks, Tinkercad, etc.),
- 3D printing using various technologies (SLA, Jetting, FDM),
- the selection and use of appropriate materials.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims to:
- Sharpen the students' scientific creativity
- Provide the fundamentals of 3D digital fabrication
- Develop teamwork skills through collaborative projects
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Ingenuity and motivation are the key words.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
A few hours of presentations (10h) are scheduled at the beginning of the year to introduce digital creation techniques and tools. Afterwards, students work in groups on projects supervised by the course instructors.

Assessment will be based on the final presentation of the completed project and on participation in the project activities. Teams will present their work to the other students and the course instructors.
