Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course promotes an approach centered on the patient as a partner, recognizing them as an active participant in the care process. Particular attention will be paid to the principles of therapeutic education, aimed at fostering patient autonomy and self-determination. The course will also cover the foundations of interprofessional collaboration, highlighting the importance of a coordinated practice based on an understanding and respect for the roles, responsibilities, and scopes of practice of each healthcare professional. In this context, students will be made aware of professional ethics and conduct standards, particularly regarding the protection of the patient's fundamental rights. The course will also contribute to developing professional written communication skills-specifically through learning to draft therapeutic reports-to ensure continuity of care and high-quality communication among the various parties involved in patient management. Finally, the course will address the fundamentals of professional practice management, raising student awareness of the importance of understanding and applying the administrative and legal regulations governing the practice of physiotherapy. To this end, students will be introduced to key provisions of professional legislation as well as the basics of the service classification and billing system.
