Learning unit contents

Theoretical and practical training in traceology, exclusively dedicated to Master or PhD students under the supervision of V. Rots, with a topic in traceology. The course is also open to external students who are specialising in traceology.  

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Understanding the variability of microscopic traces on stone tools and being able to perform a basic functional analysis.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Specialisation in prehistory. Master or doctoral thesis under the supervision of Veerle Rots.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Working sessions in the laboratories of traceology.
