Practical exercises in the laboratory and in preclinical practice
The student carries out the practical work related to the various preparations on the dental simulation units in the preclinical room. The actual prosthetic work is carried out in the laboratory. All these practical exercises are supervised by the teacher and Nathalie Dupont, head of clinic in the fixed prosthesis department, assisted by the laboratory technician, Mr. Renaud Maka.

Continuous evaluation during the year
The student is continuously evaluated for the completion of the practical and preclinical work program, which is given to him at the beginning of the year. The complete completion of this program is a prerequisite for access to the June practical exam. This evaluation accounts for 25% of the final grade.
Practical exam:
At mid-year, the student is evaluated on the performance, in preclinical, of 2 single preparations. This evaluation accounts for 25% of the final grade.
At the end of the year, the student must carry out, in preclinical, several pillar preparations and then, in the laboratory, certain fixed prosthesis restorations, up to the wax finishing stage. This exam accounts for 50% of the final grade.
