Learning unit contents
Structured around a dual theoretical and practical approach, the course is divided into three parts. The first is dedicated to building a collective research project on vegetable gardening practices in the Liège region. The second section broadens horizons by retracing the history of the major currents in environmental anthropology and exploring various contemporary issues. Finally, the third part is devoted to the students' restitution of their field research.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical and methodological tools to analyse environmental practices and discourses from an anthropological perspective. At the end of the course, they will have to be able to mobilise these tools for studying various environmental issues.
