This teaching aims to guide students in their ethical reflection regarding the various uses of animals by humans.

This activity aims to sensitize students to the importance of communication in veterinary consultation.
It is based on an adaptation of the "Calgary-Cambridge" model.

The activity aims at helping the student to anticipate his initial steps as a professional.

At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able to analyze an ethical question relating to the use of animals by humans, based on scientific knowledge, and to debate it by exchanging their opinions with respect for other participants.

The activities are described in detail on the eCampus website.
Monday: presentation of activities by the supervisor. Distribution of roles: the group of students will be divided into two and each group will choose a topic to prepare.
From Tuesday to Thursday: research (bibliographic and other) and preparation of the Friday debate.
Friday: presentation in French of the research and general discussion with the supervisor and several teachers.

The final grade is an average of scores obtained in each component (VETEA-a, C-a), conditioned by the validation of the activity VETE2087D-a (in a mode yes/no).
However, if the score of one component is <10, the lowest score will be reported as the final grade.
During the second session, only components for which a insufficient mark was obtained must be reviewed. The scores greater than or equal to 10 are carried over from one year to another in case of failure in the second session.

Further information:
Students will be evaluated on the basis of their work in preparing the chosen topic, as well as their active participation in the debate. The evaluation is carried out by a panel of teachers.

The evaluation concerns the student's respect of general instructions, and the evaluation of a group work at the end of the activity.
Participation is mandatory.
In case of absence or insufficiency, a written report is requested.
