Learning unit contents
The aim of the course is to enable students to approach the political dimension, understood in its broadest sense, of all education and training activities. The course proposes to consider education and training policy as an interface between general intentions (social projects, political projects, economic policy, vision of society and human beings, vision of learning, etc.) and concrete actions.
Education and training policies are examined in terms of their organizational and institutional dimensions. The course focuses on both education policies relating to the school system (compulsory schooling) and policies relating to adult education. The aim of the course is to raise students' awareness of different approaches in their thinking and teaching methods. Indeed, present in most political party programs, the subject of policy papers at the regional and European level, represented within the most diverse ideologies, and present in the most diverse private and public organizations, adult education and training policies are a crucial element of any social and political project
Case studies (on education systems, schools, organizations, non-profit organizations, public institutions, training centers, etc.) are presented during classes to enable students to develop a analytical and critical understanding of education and training policies.
