Learning unit contents

The internships related to the course code MSTG0540 take place in various hospital departments (ICU/Intensive Care, Neurology, Orthopedics, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, etc.), as well as in nursing and care homes, private practices, and "elite" sports clubs.
Each internship lasts 3 or 4 weeks, depending on the internship period. At the end of each placement, the student must write a report on a patient they have followed and submit it to their internship supervisor for evaluation. This report is assessed.
An information meeting regarding the organization, planning, and progress of the internships is held before the start of the placements.

Apply, on patients and under the supervision of an internship supervisor, the techniques learned during theoretical courses and practical sessions.

These are practical internships lasting 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the internship period, carried out in hospital sites, nursing and care homes, or private practices.

A minimum of 9 internships and internship reports, as well as 1,200 internship hours, must be completed within the framework of course codes MSTG0520, MSTG0530, MSTG0540, and KINE0547.

The schedule depends on the internship site. Work generally takes place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., weekdays only. Internship hours may never overlap with the courses included in the student's program

This learning activity is assessed on the basis of a standard evaluation form, which takes into account the student's theoretical and practical knowledge, their behavior during the internship, and their report.
The final grade for the learning activity is awarded by the professors in charge, based on the marks indicated on the evaluation forms completed by the internship supervisors at the end of each placement, without necessarily being the arithmetic average of those marks

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course

The planning is established by the department according to the student's curriculum. The evaluation is carried out both by the internship supervisor and the responsible instructors.
