Learning unit contents
Overview: Definitions. Classification of machine tools, robots and automatic industrial production processes. PLC, GRAFCET, GEMMA, industrial networks. Study of the operating part of production machines. Choice of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drive solutions. Pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Architecture of industrial robots and main characteristics. Practical work on programmable logic controllers, pneumatic systems and robotic arms.

- Study the behaviour of an automated system.
- Apply automation technologies for the design of a production system.
