The course is divided in two parts:
- an hour per week of theory;
- one hour per week of practice

Continuation of language study based on Volume II of the same method.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
It is important to have an excellent foundation in French grammar.
The course involves a significant amount of daily homework (vocabulary and grammar learning, preparation of exercises before class with the reader).
If you encounter any problems, it is essential to ask the teacher or assistant questions. A student tutor is also available to provide occasional assistance to students who are experiencing difficulties.

The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 10% of the June final grade.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Attendance at the lectures and exercises is compulsory. Any student who is absent at more than three classes (lectures and exercises) without any valid and fully justified reason will not be allowed to the take the examination.
The theoretical course is taught by Frédéric Bauden in the first semester and by Elise Franssen in the second semester.
