Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

Translation from Ancient Greek and Greek prose composition. Some short chapters from Greek grammar. There might be as well exercises on grammar, restitution of missing text and overall understanding of the meaning of a text. Independent reading: you can choose a text from ancient or even Byzantine Greek literature of ca. 50 pages (prose or poetry).



 

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Enhancing students' knowledge of Ancient Greek.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Very good knowledge of Ancient Greek language (grammar, stylistics, vocabulary and metrics).

 

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Active participation in the exercises.

In addition, an active approach to the Greek language should make it possible to achieve greater linguistic proficiency.
