Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the many educational and cultural activities carried out at the museum. In addition to a theoretical approach to the issues involved (cultural and artistic education, public participation, event programming, etc.), students will be invited to implement their own activities throughout the course.
NB: for the year 2025-2026, students are invited to participate in the organization of the Nuit Ardente des musées (2nd edition - May 23, 2026) in partnership with the pôle muséal et culturel de l'Université de Liège.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course is designed to enable students to identify the issues specific to educational activities and cultural programming within museums.
A practical dimension - in project-based learning - enables students to implement an artistic and cultural education or museum animation project within the framework of the course, with the support of a partner.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A good knowledge of the museum world is important.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
