Learning unit contents

An introduction to oceanography. This course is divided into two parts:

Part 1

A theoretical approach: Definitions, the history of oceanography, and its place at Uliège. A little physics, chemistry, geology, law, economics, and biology to understand how oceans work, their importance, and their influence on our day-to-day lives.

Part 2 A practical approach:

Concrete examples of studies and research conducted at our university to understand the oceans and their climatic and/or anthropogenic impacts.
