Learning unit contents
Students having the SMEM0019-1 course (Course of Block 2 Master BBMC) in their annual program must complete a Master thesis (see SMEM0019-1). The evaluation of the thesis is made by a reading committee, who evaluates the manuscript, the presentation, and the answer to questions. In the "Finalité approfondie", the bench work is evaluated by the promoter in the "Complement de mémoire" course (BBMC0020).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Bench work implies theoritical and practical skills, and requires to respect security and shared labs rules. The supervision by the promoter also consits of critical discussion and guidance on the exprimental work, as well as teaching good laboratory practices.

Bench work is performed in laboratories, usually during a full quadrimestre.

Readings will be recommanded by the promoter and lab members.

The evaluation by the promoter includes :
- The aptitudes : understading theoritical concepts and practical approaches;
- The respect of lab rules : lab notebook, schedules, etc;
- The ability to take advices and remarks into consideration
- The flexibility
- The autonomy and reliability
- The personal work for thesis writing and presentation
The surpervisor can ask for an additional report to evaluate these competences.
