Learning Late Egyptian: grammar and texts
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
By the end of this class, students will be able to read and analyse Late Egyptian texts (c. 1350-900 av. J-Chr.).
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Good command of Classical Egyptian.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- Explanation of Late Egyptian grammatical system in a diachronic perspective.
- Reading Late Egyptian texts in standardized hieroglyphic transcriptions.

The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 35% of the June final grade if > or = 10/20. If the student get 12 or more, (s)he does not have to present the 'vocabulary' part at the end of the year. Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative.
