Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The course begins with an analysis of the basic civil law concepts necessary to understand all the legal courses that will be taken as part of the overall training. The following concepts are treated: property, patrimony, types of rights (real, personal, debt, intellectual), goods (movable and immovable). Then the rules applicable to contracts are examined from conclusion through execution and then the measures to be taken in the event of non-compliance with the contracts.
The last part is devoted to the study of company law. The constitution, organisation and functioning of the company are the focus of our attention. A careful examination of the responsibilities of the directors is carried out. Finally, the termination (dissolution) of the company is examined.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of the course is to give students the essential basics of contract and company law. The student should be able to identify a problem and give an initial opinion as to the solution to be given before turning to a (professional) resource person with whom he can communicate.
