Learning unit contents
The course consists of a reading seminar led by two professors on a major work of legal or political philosophy.
The 2023-2024 seminar is devoted to the following work: H. Kelsen, Théorie générale du droit et de l'État, followed by La doctrine du droit naturel et le positivisme juridique, LGDJ -Bruylant, 1997, Paris-Bruxelles, coll. La pensée juridique.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Study of the relations between some important works in the history of philosophy and legal thought.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A sufficient command of the French language and non-formal logic is required.

Interactive seminar (students have to present some aspects of the works chosen for the seminar and participate to discussions around these works)

Students will be assessed on the basis of an oral presentation within the framework of the course, the participation of the student to the discussions and, where applicable, a written piece of work written following this presentation.
