Learning unit contents

The course systematically presents concepts of grammatical analysis and apply them to the French language by the means, a.o., of tree-like diagrams.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, students will have the following abilities:

  • ability to analyse any French sentence usin grammatical analysis;
  • ability to express such an analysis by the means of conventional diagrams;
  • knowledge of the main structural issues in the desciption of French.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Very good proficiency in French language.

Magistral teaching and discussions. 
Additional practical sessions with a tutor.
