Learning unit contents

The course covers a series of key concepts about urban ecology: anthropization of landscapes and ecosystems, "choralogy", definition of "urban", urban microclimate, urban biodiversity and urban green infrastructure analysis.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

After the lectures, students are expected to understand, interpret and apply the key concepts about urban ecology, and to understand the ecological specificities of this ecosystem.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic concepts in ecology and geography.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Theoretical courses supported by practical work (in groups, supervised by an assistant, personal planning, field exercises).
