Learning unit contents

After adressing the problem of the researcher's positionality towards development, we will develop three tools to analyse development policies from an anthropological perspective. We will then focus on new themes in the anthropology of development on the basis of various case studies. These cases will be studied with the tools presented at the beginning of the course and at the same time captured in their own specific dynamics.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of the course is to give students tools to develop an anthropological approach to development policies. At the end of the course, they must be able to use these tools for analyzing these policies and their consequences.
