Learning unit contents

This course aims to make the students familiar with the concepts of risk, whistle-blower, precautionary principle and governmentality.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The aim of this course is to give to the students the opportunity to discuss concepts such as "risk society" and "modernity".

Additional information:

Written exam: an essay (4 hours).
Three subjects will be offered to students The written exam will take place for four hours during which the students will be invited to address one of the three topics proposed . Evaluation of essays will be based on the following:
1) Logical reasoning - 25%;
2) Mobilizing knowledge - 25% (theoretical references, links to practical work);
3) Originality of the treatment of the proposed subject - 25% (links to other courses...);
4) Critical thinking - 25% (ability to distinguish between judgments of fact and value judgments) .
