Professional development of the psychologist: Towards an integrated and well-reasoned practice

At the university, there are several opportunities for students to understand and develop evidence-based practice. This course is one of them.
The aim of this theoretical and practical training is to enable the student to understand what evidence-based practice is and to initiate its application to a fictitious clinical case.

Professional development of the psychologist: Towards an integrated and well-reasoned practice

The objectives of the course will be to initiate the development of skills necessary for clinical decision making integrating valid data from scientific research, clinical experience, patient preferences and the environmental and organisational context. The main topics covered will be:

  • evidence-based practice and the different sources of internal and external information;
  • search for scientific evidence;
  • critical analysis of scientific publications;
  • evaluation of the effectiveness of the intervention.

Professional development of the psychologist: Towards an integrated and well-reasoned practice

A MOOC on EBP will be available on the FUN platform. It will offer theoretical presentations, demonstrations and explanations on EBP and its application in daily practice.
Face-to-face sessions will be offered to answer any questions on the content of the MOOC and to apply the EBP approach to a clinical case.
