Learning unit contents

The objective of this course is to provide the student with elements required to perform (and therefore to interpret and to analyze critically) a systematic review of the literature on any subject of Public Health.
The course focuses on the following topics:

  • Systematic review of the literature: theory and milestones;
  • Advanced bibliographic search: use of Medline and Scopus.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this course, the student will be able to explain the different steps to be followed to develop a systematic review and to write a protocol for conducting such a study.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Course on information resources (METO1002 or METO1021).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Face-to-face sessions (depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 sanitary situation) and individual work at home.
