This course aims to trace the evolution of contemporary public art by questions as fundamental as :
- The relationship between art and context (in situ practices, contextual art, etc.)
- The concepts of command and integration
- The relationship between art and politics
- The role of the institutions (eg.: the Sart Tilman Open Air Museum)
- The current practices of urban art (street art)
- The restoration and mediation practices

Theoretical part :
- Course given ex-cathedra by Julie Bawin, with slideshows projection
- Courses given by specialists and researchers in the field of public art
Practical part :
- Visit of the Musée en en Plein Air du Sart Tilman
- Work to realize on public art (explanations will be given at the beginning of the course)
