Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
This land surveying course presents complements concerning instruments (process, associated errors) as well as complex computational operations (reduction to the ellipsoid, free station, etc.) and the application of least-squared methods to surveying computations.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- to get an advanced knowledge of the instruments
- to masterise the diverse corrections that can be applyied to observations
- to masterise reduction of distances
- Enable the student to apply the theory of errors (variance propagation / least-squares) to topometric computations (levelling, traversing, network).
- Enable the student to evaluate the quality of topometric computations output including output of computing commercial software.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Land Surveying course and theory of errors
