Learning unit contents
The cursus of project aims to reflect about strategic options for the development of a territory through case studies, in Belgium and abroad. It articulates diagnosis, benchmark, strategy development and programming.

Compare different strategies and cultures of development.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
After a short theoretical introduction, the students examine in small groups a proposed territorial development strategy for a territory. After a critical analysis of the case study, they draft operational recommendations for development strategy and programming.
A week of fieldwork abroad allows to revisit a similar issue in order to compare and criticize the two strategies of territorial development.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Classroom sessions, group work in classroom, in videoconference and on the field.

Assessment methods and criteria
The reports account for 70% of the final score. A survey will be distributed to the group participants to assess internal collaboration.
An individual oral exam about the reports and tools used represents 30% of the final score.
