Learning unit contents
This course focuses on securities, debt enforcement and insolvency procedures under Belgian Law.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims to enable future practioners to analyse situations of insolvency and enforcement procedures and consequently advise :
- creditors about the best way to secure their debt and make decision in such a context ;
- debtors to adopt measures in order to protect their interests.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Obligations and Property Law are absolute prerequisites.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical exercices sessions will be organised. Active involvement of students is highly desirable.

Additional information:
Assessment is made by a written exam, which consists in MCQ, brief questions related to pure knowledge and practical exercices. Use and application of legal provisions is part of the evaluation.
