2020-2021 / Master

Of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering

120 credits

Designing, calculating, building as well as repairing or rebuilding civil engineering works and buildings: designing, modernising and maintaining communication infrastructures; overcoming obstacles, etc. These are among the many areas in which Civil Engineers can practice their art.

Overview

The main objective of the Master's Programme in Civil Engineering is to equip the future engineer with the necessary tools to acquire an excellent understanding of the behaviour of structures (bridges, dams, roads),through a good knowledge of soils, water and materials. These tools will make it possible to analyse, model and master all civil engineering calculation and construction techniques, and to design and build engineering structures to ensure their integration into the natural and human environment. In addition to an internship and a Master's thesis (TFE), after a solid and broad training, two professional focuses (30 credits) are offered :

  • Civil engineering, which allows a specialization oriented towards the design, advanced calculation, execution and management of structures subjected to exceptional loads (fire, earthquake, floods,...),
  • Urban and Environmental Engineering, which directs training towards the management of the city through its networks (water, heat, mobility, etc.) and its resilience (buildings, soils), within the framework of the circular economy and co-design. This focus is proposed in collaboration with architectural and geological engineers.
