Learning unit contents

The means of detection, management and communication adapted to emerging diseases are developed.
Direct and indirect costs of emerging diseases are developed and explained.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Knowing and applying the means of detection, management and communication during an emergence of an infectious disease or zoonosis.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic knowledge of infectious diseases and epidemiology of infectious and zoonotic diseases.

Organisational adjustments related to the current health context

  • Online theoretical course (lifesize recording or equivalent), accessible via the eCampus platform and largely illustrated by a computer-assisted presentation.
  • The teacher is available to students via the Lifesize platform or equivalent to answer questions at the end of the theoretical course.
