Learning unit contents
This course gives up to date data on parasitic emerging diseases in Europe or elsewhere. The content is updated each year according to the new developments in this field.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To provide updated data on some parasitic diseases (mainly vectorial) in Europe or elsewhere in the field of animal health.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
General pathology, general microbiology, epidemiology applied to veterinary medicine, arachno-entomology, pharmacology, vaccinology.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
There are no practicals as such but rather workshops based on multimedia material (CD-Roms).
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
The time table is established on an annual basis by the coordinator.

A hard copy is distributed to every participant before each lecture.
Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
The evaluation is organised by the coordinator with participation of all lecturers.
