Learning unit contents
This course is dedicated to the study of action and side effects of drugs and drugs of abuse
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The goal is to show to the students the multidisciplinarity of toxicolgical sciences.
1. Pharmacokinetic steps, and importance for therapeutic drug monitoring ;
2.Major drugs side effects, major drug-drug interactions;
3.Belgian and european systems of pharmacovigilancy and toxicovigilancy
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Partim 1 (first semester)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
12,5 hours of practical sessions are organized, during 3 weeks,with :
- discussion of drug-drug interactions;
- problem based learning on pharmaco or toxicovigilancy.
Participation is mandatory.
A (written) mandatory examination is organized at the end.
A student with 10/20 will be exempted for 2 years (september and the following year).
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Sessions of 90 - 120 minutes, 1 to 2 times a week
