Learning unit contents
This course develops the following themes:
- Descriptive statistics
- Probability calculus and random variable
- Statistical inference
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, students will be able to calculate and interpret the usual statistical indicators. They will understand the basic concepts of probability. The students will understand the notion of statistical models and they will master the basic principles of the estimation in a parametric model.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A good understanding of calculus is required.
